Like the phases of the moon, a part of us is always hidden. This month, embrace who you are and let the enchanting beauty of all your “faces” show. Remember, you can always be whoever you choose to be ” the stars will align in your favor. Let your light illuminate the darkness, Charmers! This month’s Boxycharm subscription box included; Palmetto Derma Rejuvenating Antioxidant Mask, Doucce Punk Volumizer Mascara, Bellapierre Cheek and Lip Stain, Lord & Berry Line/Shade Eyeliner and Cult Cosmetics Nail Polish. All total a $137 value all for $21 a month! I do believe this subscription box is destined to become one of my favorites Shout out to Claire Hearn, thanks for the suggestion! This is the Palmetto Derma Rejuvenating Antioxidant Mask and the Bellapierre Cheek and Lip stain in Coral. To me this coral is a more of a pink than the orangy coral shade I am use to but it is still a pretty shade. I loved this color as a lip color, it would look great with a smoky eye. Not so much for a cheek color though but I suppose in a pinch it would work. I had to use a lip brush to get the product out of the container, if I had used my finger it would have been gouged out and under my fingernail so fingers don’t work here for me. It has no taste and no scent which is a good thing. One thing, it’s not much of a stain exactly, unlike other stains I have used, once you wipe it off it is gone with no residual color left. It is the full size product which retails for $19.The Palmetto Rejuvenating Mask is a wonderful mask that has a very clean woodsy scent that is pleasant which is something you look for in a product that’s going to be on your face for 20 minutes. The smell reminds me of a spa type smell. It did not irritate my sensitive skin and actually helped calm down some of the rosacea redness and I always like a product that does that. I applied it using an old foundation brush, these work great for masks. My face was soothed, luminous and soft after I removed the mask with a soft cloth using luke warm water. This is a full size product at 1.75 oz and retails for $64, so good score on this one. This is the Doucce Punk Volumizer Mascara. You can clearly see what an excellent brush this comes with and it is a blackest black mascara. The brush has long and short bristles that work together to help separate, lengthen and add volume to your lashes. It applies smoothly with minimal clumps, I think by and large owed to the brush, it is most definitely going to be a mascara I will use and would recommend. It also appears to be safe for sensitive eyes. This is also a full size product and it retails for $24.This is the Lord & Berry Line/Shade Eyeliner. They call the color Dark Black? OK, I have seen black referred to as intense, smoldering, blackest black, jet black but dark black is a new one to me. Anyway, this eyeliner is formulated with kajal and kohl to provide consistent color, which it does. This can be used in tightlining and waterlining and along the lash line, while this is true it can also be smudged. In fact it smudges very easily so I would recommend keeping your hands away from your eyes once it is applied as it does not appear to be waterproof but it still works ok for waterline use, go figure. It is called a Line/Shade Eyeliner. I do not know if this is indicative as to it being used as an eye shade so I think the title, to me anyway, is a misnomer. This is a full size and retails for $18.This last item in my box is the Cult Cosmetics Nail Polish in the color Boneyards. I know it seems weird to swatch a nail polish on one’s hand but I have shellac on my nails and cannot polish over it. This will be the next color to go to the salon with me, I am going to have my toes done with this shade. If I did have my nails painted with regular polish I’d be using this on them as well. Cult polish is vegan-friendly, ethically made in California, no animal product testing and does not contain the 5 toxic ingredients found in most nail polishes, there is no DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin or Camphor. So yea! pretty colors that are not bad for you. If you are concerned with what you are putting on your body then the $12 price tag might just be worth it. I know if I found a color they had that I just truly loved and would be my go-to color, I’d be buying it. This is a full size as well.So there you go, all the products that were in my Boxycharm box this month. So far I must say that this subscription box has been my favorite box this month.
