Burger Warfare

Locally owned restaurants in the High Point, Greensboro and Winston Salem areasHome›Greensboro Restaurants›Burger WarfareByGreg & Jenn • June 21, 2015 Last Saturday night Jenn and I decided to take all four of the kids out with us to get some burgers at a place that has been on our to do list for a while now, “Burger Warfare”. Burger Warfare is the latest edition to the arsenal of Greensboro restaurants owned by Marty Kotis. In fact it is located right beside another restaurant of his on Battleground Avenue close to where it intersects with Bessemer Avenue. The decor is interesting and fun, with a futuristic robot war theme that was certainly amusing to the kids. We arrived around 6pm and were sat quickly, which was nice since we had the impatient little ones with us. We were sat in a large and comfortable booth that fit all six of us just perfectly. Our server greeted us quickly and got our drinks for us while offering to answer any questions we may have had.Kaci, our oldest daughter, opted for “Chicken Wings”, instead of a burger. Our waiter thankfully warned us of the spiciness of the wing sauce. Kaci actually doesn’t mind spicy things but we got the sauce on the side anyways. It was a good thing because it was down right hot, but tasty. The wings were cooked perfectly and she loved them. The rest of the girls are kind of “plain jane” as far as food is concerned, and all of them just had plain kids burgers with fries. They did however all seem to enjoy their food.I ordered the “Abrams Burger”, which is two beef patties served with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, minced onions and warfare sauce. The burgers were cooked perfectly and the combination of fresh toppings with the warfare sauce reminded me of a certain chain restaurants all american classic, although the quality and freshness of the ingredients here made this burger stand out quite a bit more than it’s predecessor. Jennifer opted for a “Black Bean Burger” instead of beef. She seemed to really enjoy hers also noting the obvious homemade flavor and texture of the bean burger. This Saturday night dinner with the kids went off without a hitch thanks to the food, atmosphere and service at Burger Warfare. Dinner for this family can sometimes be a struggle to get through. If your looking for a place to bring the kids or your just looking for a good burger, then give this place a try. They also have a quite a beer selection for you lovers of the brew.
