The schedule for the HMD conference was put online by mistake. The manufacturer plans to unveil four products including a new Nokia 3310. The brand should focus on the entry-level at this event. The serial leaker Evan Blass hits again and has gotten hands on the plans of the HMD manufacturer for Mobile World Congress at the end of the month. The Finnish company plans to announce four phones under the Nokia brand with several surprises in the key.Three smartphones under 250 euros
Those waiting for the presentation of a new high-end smartphone signing the return to the front of the Nokia brand could be disappointed. According to Evan Blass, HMD plans to announce three smartphones under 250 euros.
The Nokia 6, so far marketed only in China, should be the most high-end of them. This is a reminder of a smartphone running Android 7.0 Nougat equipped with a 5.5 inch Full HD screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage, a 16-megapixel camera And a 3000 mAh battery. In China, it is sold at 1699 yuan or about 230 euros, but in Europe, it should be marketed at 250 euros.
The Nokia 3 and the Nokia 5 should be even less expensive versions. The Nokia 5 would incorporate a 5.2-inch HD resolution display (1280 x 720 pixels), only 2 GB of RAM and a 12-megapixel photo sensor. It should be sold at 199 euros.
We have no information on the Nokia 3, but we assume that it will use an even smaller screen, probably around the 4.7 inch. It should be marketed at 149 euros, a floor price in Europe that should allow HMD to compete with brands like Wiko in France.
Ask anyone on the street which Nokia phone is best known, or what is its first phone, and it will probably answer you the Nokia 3310. This phone has quickly become the most popular phone on the market when it comes out the end of the year 2000. Since then, it has become an actual Internet player thanks to its exceptional resistance, its battery, and Snake, one of the integrated games.
HMD would have planned to pull out this phone and market it at 60 euros. We do not know yet whether it will be the same phone or whether the manufacturer will have taken the trouble to update certain features.
The press conference of the Mobile World Congress will be held on Sunday 26 February from 16:30 and will mark the return of Nokia to the general public at the Barcelona show.
