Smith & Wesson BodyGuard .380 Review
The Smith and Wesson Bodyguard 380 is a great go to when it comes to conceal carry weapons. Its compact design makes it not only concealable but also comfortable. The grip has a nice texture to it. The sight picture though fairly hard to see is accurate however the optional built in laser sight with strobe option also adds as a nice feature for quick sight aqcuistion to find your target or temporarily disorient your target. It has a safety lever on the slide to keep it from rocking back in fourth whether or not it has a round in the chamber, shooting it is a breeze its fairly accurate and with little recoil. It comes with two, 7 round magazines though other extended magazines, add ons and options are available.
As for a Conceal Carry Weapon carry please consider that the .380 line if conceal carry pistols are some of the most concealable in the marketplace and the Smith and Wesson Bodyguard 380 is not an exception. Unlike the .22lr which may be concealable, they don’t pack much of a punch or takedown power. While the .380 may lack in takedown power itself. the .380 is approximately the same diameter as the 9.mm so it carries a significant amount of take down power. And unlike the 9mm platform which is also concealable, the .380 platform is super concealable and ideal for female shooters. That leads me to one gripe , however. While it is smaller in size so is the grip and the length of the pistol grip which doesn’t fit my pinky. Thats where the optional extended grip magazines come to mind for a better grip and more rounds!
The Smith and Wesson Bodyguard 380 comes with the built in laser sight as an option and comes with two 7 round magazines as well as a nice little carrying case. It pairs very well with an inside the belt conceal carry holster. The Smith and Wesson Bodyguard 380 is so compact it makes the best option for conceal carry. It’s the best option for inside the waist conceal carry. I live in Texas and this one passes the shorts test.
