Perhaps you need to Boot your Android Device in Safe Mode. Similar to the experience that you have with you PC wherein you can start the PC in Safe Mode to rectify any issues with the computer, you can also boot your android device into safe mode. The safe mode in Android does not loads the third party apps during the booting process. Only the apps that came with the phone will get loaded.
Therefore, if your phone runs without an issue in the safe mode, it is quite obvious that the problem isn’t system related but a third party app that you might have recently downloaded. Most of you might have used this feature on your computer for troubleshooting issues. It is much of the same concept!
Method 1
1. Hold down the physical power button on your device.
2. Long-press the “Power off” option that appears.
3. A dialog box asking you if you want to reboot to safe mode may pop up. Tap OK.
(Note: If the box doesn’t appear, go on to the alternate method.)
4. When the phone reboots, you should see a “Safe Mode” watermark at the bottom left of the screen, to let you know that you are in fact in safe mode.
Alternate Method
1. Switch off your mobile.
2. Once your mobile is switched off, turn it on by pressing the power button.
3. While the mobile is booting, hold down both the volume up and volume down buttons simultaneously and keep them held.
4. Once your phone has booted, you will notice a “Safe Mode” watermark at the bottom left of the screen, in order to indicate that your mobile has entered safe mode.
Note: If the alternate method also doesn’t work, you can try holding down menu instead of volume up and down while booting.
In safe mode, you will not have access to third party apps, however you can uninstall them. In addition, you also have access to other important functions such as backup, factory reset etc.
To exit safe mode, you just restart your device as you normally would.
