Whats going on world? I am on vacation in Wildwood NJ!! I am here with my family & girlfriend… I am enjoying every bit of it (I had to get away from my job…s*** was getting too stressful). Of course I couldn’t go without my trusty Blackberry. Yea I know I don’t use it for e-mail or IM anymore…but it’s still my very reliable phone! During my trip, I have twittered on Twitter and post to my blog! (Yes people, there is an application out for the BB that allows me to update my blogs on the go!). I will be posting a lot more blogs on here than usual because of the new mobile blogging I have access to. I hope you all find my articles interesting!!

Ever since going back to my Blackberry…my mobile world has become so much better. The Palm Pre tried to make things a lot more simple and easy. Don’t get me wrong…things become very easy. However, the whole “Synergy” thing does not work the way I would have expected it to. The phone looks great…but it is VERY FRAGILE!!! All of those hot features and one drop can cost you your entire phone. I pretty much said f*** that! I am staying with Sprint because they have the best plan values. AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile..their data plans with minutes are ridiculous. $99 a month with $7 insurance for unlimited EVERYTHING. So now after all of that drama…I am back with the Blackberry Curve 8330. From this point on…I will only be using a Blackberry. I have a curve now, I will be getting the new Blackberry Tour once it is released. A year later, if a newer Blackberry comes out, I will be getting that one as well. Now people will try to tell me “What if you want to use YouTube? What if you want to play games and use a whole bunch of cool apps?”. That’s easy….I have my iPod Touch 2G for that. Oh I need WiFi? So what..I have a WiFi hotspot that I can carry around with me all the time. I get my corporate email on my iPod Touch and use Twitter through the iPod Touch. I didn’t want BES on my Blackberry due to the stupid policies they place on it. Two devices Boss Mike? Don’t you think that’s a waste these days?

Not really…because there is NO device that has all of the features you want. There probably won’t ever be that ONE device that has EVERYTHING. Carrying a Blackberry Curve and an iPhone around is no big deal.

So now….you may be asking “Boss Mike…why go for the Blackberry?”. Well I am going to recommend you the iPhone 3GS or the Blackberry. In my opinion, they are the two most dominated devices in the world. They both sold around the world as well.

iPhone 3GS – Let’s face it…the iPhone 3GS is the most attractive device that most people have seen today. It has pretty much everything. Camera, Video Camera, MMS, Full Web Browsing, YouTube, Apps, Voice Command, On-Device Video Editing, etc, etc, etc, etc,. If you didn’t care which carrier you went to and how much money you were paying…the iPhone 3GS should be your first choice. The iPhone 3GS does have it’s drawbacks though. No removable battery, no camera flash, no insurance options through carriers, no physical keyboard. Yea it should have had those things…but what can you do? At the end of the day, this device has pretty much everything you could want in a phone

Blackberry – Blackberry is the ULTIMATE messaging device on the market…PERIOD. E-Mail, SMS, MMS, BBM (Blackberry Messenger), AIM, Yahoo!, Google Talk, ICQ, and Windows Live Messenger. These are all pre-loaded into the device and do not require 3rd Party add ons. A Blackberry keyboard is also very comfortable to type on. Sounds can be customized for EVERY alert type in the device. It is also the most SECURE phone you will probably ever buy. It does have all of the standard media functions (camera, video camera, mp3 player, video player, etc), but it doesn’t make them look as good as an iPhone does. Honestly who cares…if your Blackberry is doing things for you fine…then there is no need to look anywhere else.

To those who own a G1, Palm Pre, Treo, or any HTC Device – You are missing out on a lot. Windows Mobile has become very old and outdated. No one has time for all the of headaches and crap Windows Mobile comes with. The G1 is a huge phone (it’s like the size of a damn VCR!). The Andriod OS looks nice but does not perform and come with features like the Blackberry or iPhone does. Treos are TOO DAMN OLD!! Get a Blackberry for those Treo users! HTC Devices…they are running Android or Windows Mobile. Both aren’t that great and can’t even compare to the Blackberry OS or the iPhone’s Mac OSX mobile.

Google Sync is great…do not get me wrong. Google Sync is NOT great for Windows Mobile devices. If you have a Windows Mobile device, Google Sync will not work out for you that well. Google Sync is always resetting my first name, last name view order. Once I set a contact to view by first name, last name…Google Sync resets it to last name, first name view. This has been really pissing me off and I stopped syncing with Google. I have instead synced my contacts with my coporate Exchange server for the time being. I will switch back once I get the Palm Pre lol.

So Apple has announced the iPhone 3GS…WOW. The iPhone 3GS has become what the iPhone SHOULD HAVE been in the very beginning (2 years ago). Even though it took 2 years to achieve this…Apple is still going to sell the hell out of this phone. If I didn’t have Sprint and had some money to spend every month…I would get the iPhone 3GS. They added a video camera (finally), on device video editing of videos you record, voice command, and a 32 GB model!! 32 GB on a freaking phone is insane (not realy needed but really nice!).

So now the Palm Pre has been released over the weekend. I’m going to say…….I love the Palm Pre. My opinions are not biased because I have owned an iPhone, a Blackberry, HTC devices, etc. The Palm Pre does everything I need it to do. I’m not looking for a phone to have EVERYTHING. If a phone had EVERYTHING then there would be no need to get another phone. i like to anticipate NEW things in the future. A Blackberry is not for me because I need access to my older emails. Blackberrys only get you new e-mails ONLY. Windows Mobile phones are getting worse and worse. Hopefully the Touch Diamond 2 and Touch Pro 2 bring good things to the Windows Mobile table. The iPhone really IS NOT for me. I need a physical QWERTY keyboard. I also need INSURANCE on my phone! Something the iPhone does NOT have. The Palm Pre is a balance of all of those devices in my opinion. I highly recommend the Palm Pre to those who want a simple phone that does E-Mail, SMS, MMS, IM, Navigation, TV, YouTube, and Web Browsing.

I have been hearing tons of rumors on what this phone will have

-Video Chat-Video Camera-3 and 5 megapixel cameras-16 and 32 gb editions-4 gb editions?!?-Lower prices-Removable Battery-Better battery life-Multi-tasking

All of those are good things, but if they gave you all of that in one package…there would be no reason for the iPhone 4.0 would there? It’s how you do business…you give them good things and leave out some things so they buy your next product. I fully support Apple 100% with their computers and technology. If I wasn’t with Sprint, I would probaby be rockin with an iPhone. The Palm Pre will be doing what I need it to do VERY soon. Now if the iPhone 3.0 were to have the features listed above…it’s competition would be completely destroyed….literally LOL

I am currently watching the E3 press conference for Nintendo. I have not seen a DAMN thing that has impressed me so far. The new Mario Bros looks like BULLS***! Super Mario Galaxy 2 looks good but not making me go WOW. WTF Nintendo?? You are good at making new stuff and making us say WOW. Another Metroid game? I’m really not that impressed Nintendo. I want something NEW. The only thing that I am interested in is RESIDENT EVIL DARK SIDE CHRONICLES WHICH NOW HAS RESIDENT EVIL CODE VERONICA IN IT!! AWESOME!! But other than that…Nintendo has sucked AGAIN for two years in a row. Thanks Nintendo…

With the unveiling of Project Natal, and announcement of a lot of things to come for the Xbox…has the war been ended? Playstation 3 has lost Final Fantasy, l Gear Solid, Grand Theft Auto, and Tekken! The only franchise they are holding onto now is Uncharted and God of War. Honestly, it’s not enough to keep the PS3 alive and going for as long as the Xbox 360. E3 is still going on…will Sony show something UNBELIEVABLE to combat against the MiniGun that has been fired by Microsoft?? We shall see…

So Microsoft has showed off it’s “Project Natal” and it looks f****** awesome. However…it’s really f****** scary at the same time. Video games have become really…something “else” as of late. For those that don’t know..Project Natal is Microsoft’s answer to the Nintendo Wii. Imagine where you can play a video game…with no controller. That’s right, just you and the Xbox 360. You control everything with your movement, your hands, and your voice! It’s really f****** crazy and if you don’t believe me, check out the video below.

Yes this is my honest opinion. I believe the three mobile OS’s listed above will be the future of mobile phones. They are all partnered up with Google in one form or another. Which means they can all sync contacts and with Google. I can see Tasks, Documents, and Notes being synced in the future as well. They all have app stores, multimedia funcitons, and touch screens. So what is really different between the three of them? They all have their own style and not everyone likes all styles. You can pretty much take your pick. The iPhone and the G1 are NOT for me. I have chosen the Palm Pre to be my next device and that is completely OK! Not everyone is going to like the Pre either! Some prefer the iPhone over all or the G1 over all. I just know that these 3 devices will lead the market into the new generation of mobile devices. They seem to be the only devices advancing forward with today’s technology. Blackberry and Windows Mobile are only making their OS and UI look “newer’. No one is looking for that anymore! The world wants revolutionary features and add ons. The world wants something new and refreshing…..they don’t want the same old thing but shined up a bit more.
