Dean Lavielle

Principal

Dean Lavielle is entering his first year as principal at Arkansas City

High School. He has been assistant principal for two years at ACHS. Dean

and his wife, Gila, and two children, Jennifer and Benjamin, moved here

from Ellinwood. Dean has been in education for 22 years, holding a B.S.

in Mathematics and an M.S. in Educational Administration both from . One of Mr. Lavielle’s hobbies is viewing and collecting

art from .

KayLynn Gray

Assistant Principal

KayLynn is entering her fifth year as an assinstant principal, but has

been involved with education for 12 years. She received her education at

where she earned

both her bachelor’s degree and her master’s degree in education.

Even though she really likes it here at ACHS, she says she hopes someday

to become a principal, but at a smaller school so she could learn everybody’s

name. She also hopes to work in the central office as a superintendant.

Before coming to Ark City, KayLynn was an English teacher in Udall. She

was a counselor here for two years and then became assistant principal.

In her spare time she likes to cook and reads at least one book a week.

Mrs. Gray really loves spending time with her two chidren.

Justin Lockwood

Assistant Principal

Justin Lockwood is achieveing his first year as an assistant principal

at Arkansas City High School, but he is entering his ninth year in education.

He has taught vocational agriculture in Oklahoma. He has earned two bachelor’s

degrees from

, and has received one master’s degree from

the.

He is orginally form Meeker, Oklahoma. He and his wife have two boys

and have lived in Ark City since August 1, 1998.

Tom Hollingsworth

Activities Director

Tom has spent 26 of his 29 years in edcuation with the Arksansas City Schools

as a teacher, coach and administrator. Tom received his bachelor of science

degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University, and an master of arts

in educational supervision and administration from .

Tom and his wife, Jean, have two grown sons, Tim and Todd. Tom enjoys

working with all the people associated with the activities department.
