Caffè Umbria is a third generation Italian coffee roaster, located in the Pacific Northwest, with origins that date back to the 1940’s in Perugia, Italy. Based in Seattle with cafes in Seattle, Portland and Chicago, the Canadian operations are located in Vancouver, BC.
Caffè Umbria provides distinctive coffee programs for over 700 fine food establishments including luxury Hotels and Resorts, fine dining establishments, and specialty cafes and bakeries across North America . What makes Caffè Umbria unique is their devotion to authentic Italian style coffee blending and roasting techniques. They can proudly say that they are the only ones in North America who specialize in Italian coffee and espresso blends.
Being relatively new in the Canadian marketplace, Caffè Umbria championed their wholesale distribution and the business-to-business marketplace. They realize that growing their brand would require them to reach into the business-to-customer marketplace. In order to grow their brand recognition with this target audience, they need to expand their reach, tap into a completely new customer base and become better connected within the industry to get their story heard.
Randy Kwong, Caffè Umbria’s Regional Director for Alberta, met Jesse almost 10 years ago when she discovered their coffee on a trip to Seattle. Through the years the coffee at Caffè Umbria has been Bonafide’s go-to caffeine fix, and they joined Bonafide’s client roster in February of 2017. Within only a few short months, Bonafide has worked to provide Caffè Umbria with the tools they need to tell their story in a unique way that will effectively present them with opportunities connecting them with industry contacts that reach a whole new target market.
