Windows 10 is surely the greatest update that the worlds most used operating system for computers has ever received. It is evident from the fact that more than 14 million people had upgraded to Windows 10 within 24 hours of its public availability. For downloading and installing the update, you will have to visit the Windows Update window, where all the latest updates will be available. You can check for the latest updates there and can install them with ease. Windows updates are cumulative in nature, so all the previous updates and fixes will be included in the latest available updates. After the download is completed, you will be asked to restart your PC to install the updates. With restart of your PC and a few minutes of update installation time, you will see that the Cortana problem in Windows 10 has been fixed.

The software update pushed by Microsoft seems to solve the Cortana & Start Menu not working in Windows 10 issue, and it will most probably work for you too. And you should make sure that your device is always up to date to avoid such problem and bugs in the future.
