Hide Running Applications to System Tray with HideIt

There are many apps which minimizes itself to the system tray when you minimize them, but generally browsers does not have this option. But with HideIt, you can hide any app to the system tray with a single click. HideIt is a simple freeware app for Windows which allows you to minimize any running app to system tray by just right clicking on the minimize button. You get an option for HideIt when you right click on any app window.

If you want to maximize any app, you can double click the app from the system tray or use the HideIt option to restore them.

The app is completely portable and sits in the Windows system tray and monitors any clicks. While majority of apps worked with this tool, some applications like Outlook 2010 failed to minimize to system tray using HideIt.

If you want more options, you can try out WinVisible or Magic Tweaks Boss Key which we have reviewed on this blog.
