Creating image of a hard drive is one of the safest ways to keep a backup. Some time you might mess up with files and folders and you might loose all important data. Active Disk Image is image creation software. This software is capable of creating image of any disc.  Some of the main features of this software are:

Steps to create image of hard drive:

Step 1:

Open Active Disk Image software.

Double click on the icon labeled as Disk to Image.

Step 2:

On clicking this, a new window will appear on your screen.

In this screen, click on the backup type which you prefer and click on Next button.

Step 3:

On clicking this button, another window will appear on your screen.

In this window select the drive which you prefer to create an image and click on Next button.

Step 4:

In this new window, you can select either a CD or DVD drive to copy image of the drive or you can copy image of the disk into another drive. Now here I am keeping image in another drive.

In this window enter the image file’s name and select the location and click on Next button.

Step 5:

On clicking, a new window will appear on your screen.

In this window you need to select compression ratio, Image splitting (if required), you can also include password or encrypt and you can also add description about the image file. After entering all information click on Next button.

You can create multiple disc images. If you prefer to create one more image file, then click on Yes, create another image or raw image button and click on Next button. Now here I don’t like to create one more so I proceed without changing the status. On clicking this Next button, a overall verification window will appear on your screen.

In this you can configure software to Shutdown computer after completion of image creation process or verify image after creation.

Step 6:

After completing all process click on next button to start Image creation process.

On completion of Image creation, a window will appear on your screen, as shown in below image.
