Step #1: Download the latest version of MIUI for Galaxy S4 from

[XDA Link] and Google Apps from .

Step #2: Move both downloaded zip files to internal storage of your Galaxy S4.

Step #3: Disable SIM PIN before installation.

Step #4: Turn the device off.

Step #5: Reboot the device into recovery mode volume up, home and power buttons.

Step #6: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.

Step #7: In recovery mode, perform wipe, select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen then select wipe cache and confirm on the next screen. At the end, select advanced, then select “wipe dalvik cache” and confirm action.

Step #8: Return to main menu by selecting “Go Back”.

Step #9: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation.

Step #10: Once MIUI zip file is installed on your Galaxy S4, repeat previous step again and install Google Apps Package zip file.

Step #11: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now” to reboot phone.

Sixth time I have tried the MIUI Rom on my GT I9505. FAILED MISERABLY EVERY TIME.

Just tried 3.7.19 and ended up with a vertical white bar at reboot. Pulled the battery and booted and still the same.

Seems I am destined never to get this one going. I have tried at least half a dozen roms and all worked fine.

Just can’t get the one I want to go.

Handset came from the UK so nothing special about it.

What do I need to report to try and track down the reason why?
