How To Install TWRP Recovery for Galaxy S4 I9500
The TWRP (Team Win Recovery Project) has been arrived for your Samsung Galaxy S4, TWRP custom recovery is famed due to unique features that you can find under other Android recoveries. TWRP is touch-based recovery that you cannot use to install multiple zip files containing zip files containing custom ROMs, kernels, tweaks, etc, it lets you to easily take nandroid backups and perform wipe. This guide shows you how to install TWRP recovery on Galaxy S4 GT-I9500, don’t try over GT-I9505. Use a Windows PC and make sure USB drivers are installed on computer, you can use Samsung KIES to install drivers but disable KIES before installation because it may disturb installation.

Step #1: Download the latest version of TWRP recovery for Galaxy S4 from
[XDA Link].
Step #2: Download
(Odin3_v3.04.zip) to your PC.
Step #3: Unzip the downloaded Odin3_v3.04.zip file into a folder.
Step #4: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped above file and run Odin3 v3.04.exe.
Step #5: Turn the device off.
Step #6: Reboot the device into download mode, to do this, reboot phone by holding down volume down, home and power buttons.
Step #7: Once you’re in download mode plug the device to PC using USB cable. Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will turn yellow and a message saying ADDED will appear. (Note: If Odin doesn’t detect the device, make sure that USB drivers are properly installed on your computer).
Step #8: Click on PDA Button and locate tar.md5 from the folder that you downloaded in first step like (TWRP_2.5-i9500_.tar) where you’ve unzipped above files in the step 2. (Note: Don’t make any change, just make sure that re-partition is unchecked).
Step #9: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS (Note: If Odin refuse to install the update and show message FAIL, or get stuck, close the Odin and unplug device, then pull out battery from the device for a few seconds. Then put the battery back to the device and reboot into download mode. Then install the firmware again.
Step #10: Unplug phone from PC.
