Pioneers of the downtown dining scene, co-owners Christian Mena and chef Lino Oliviera of Sabor Restaurant and Bodega Tapas and Wine Bar are always cookin’ up something new. In June 2015, the duo launched Urbano Pizza Co., their first fast-casual eatery featuring custom made pizzas cooked super fast in state of the art ovens.
Four of these stylish ovens pop with colour in Urbano’s space on the 124th Street Promenade decorated with vintage lights, whitewashed brick and mortar, and a cherry red Italian meat slicer. While the food is meant for eaters on the move, seating for 60 is available on reclaimed wood tables.
Urbano Pizza Co. was sparked by a growing craze in the US for super fast and was the first of its kind to launch in Edmonton.
