Virtual School Students Meet Classmates at Discovery World Field Trip
By Wisconsin Connections AcademyDec. 19, 2014
Wisconsin Connections Academy students meet teachers and peers face-to-face, some for the first time.
On Thursday, December 18 Wisconsin Connections Academy (WCA), the state’s leading online school, brought 40 families and students together from across the state for a day of learning, fun and new friends at Discovery World.
As part of the statewide Field Trip Day, WCA students were invited to enjoy time with classmates they normally connect with online. Students spent the day exploring exhibits and received a behind-the-scenes tour of Discovery World. In addition to the monthly field trips, WCA students can also connect through lessons, clubs and other in-person special events throughout the school year.
For more information about WCA, online education or this year’s open enrollment, please visit www.connectionsacademy.com.
