At times it can seem as though the property-investing World is already saturated with people more experienced than you. You have to believe that there is room for you as well. If you start off with negative self belief then you are on a slippery slope to failure and before you know it you will be another one of those that have “tried” property investing, but found that there was no money in it.How do you start to believe when you have doubts?Mind feed! You have to feed your mind with positive thoughts; you have to block out all the negatives. You have to stifle your negative thoughts to such a degree that they struggle to exist.Yes, I know it is easy to say and perhaps not as easy to do. The bottom line is that we are all born equal, that maybe a controversial statement to some degree, but what I mean by that is that we all have an ability to create the lifestyle and life we desire.Don’t believe me?Well the proof is all around us. There are many examples of people that have broken through the shackles of poverty to create a rich life for themselves and their loved ones. They had just the same difficult background as all the other kids on their street, yet while the other kids ended up in dead end jobs, in jail, or killed in gang warfare, they took a different path. They managed to cling on to hope and believe that there was something better for them. Equally, there are those who where born into abundant material wealth; yet they have gone on to squander it and achieve nothing outstanding with there lives, while the people they when to school with have gone on to become Doctors, Lawyers, successful business men and women and inspiring entrepreneurs.Where you come from and what environment you where brought up in, does have a bearing on what most people achieve.However, ANYONE has the ability to break free of their limiting belief. If you only earning £15,000 a year working full-time it can seem like an unbelievable leap of faith to believe you can be making 100,000 a year through property investing or through any means.This is the first hurdle to overcome; and arguably it is the most difficult.I will go into much more depth in future tips on how to overcome it, but for now just keep in mind the concept of feeding your mind (mind feed) with positive things that will drive you towards your goals. Things such as reading inspiriting rags to riches stories, watching inspiriting true-life stories of rags to riches, such as movies like “” staring Will Smith might be crucial to your ongoing motivation.What ever you choose to feed your mind with doesn’t even have to be wealth orientated. After all – what is material wealth? By it self it is actually nothing and means nothing. It only becomes important when it represents something to you or others, such as a way of getting out of your day job and financially independent.I love anything to do with overcoming any sort of adversity and beating the odds. Where coach Carter has to fight everyone including the school and his own basketball players, because he was the only one that believed that they could do something with their lives. The Players didn’t believe it, their parents didn’t believe and the faculty at the school definitely didn’t believe it.Yet, through coach Carter’s unwavering belief (well he might have had the odd wobble in belief) he managed to help his players start to believe in themselves. That’s how powerful belief is. Through your own belief you can help change the beliefs of others.
