ENTP personality types are commonly known for playing the devil’s advocate. Rather than forming strict judgments about things, the perceiving aspect of their personality allows them to see things for what they really are.
They enjoy a good debate more than most, which can be a positive or negative thing depending on the circumstances. This isn’t a personality type that’s known for sensitivity and caring what others think. An ENTP is honest and has little concern for being viewed as compassionate, according to 16 Personalities. They care much more about getting to the bottom of the truth.
1. Barack Obama
The 44th president of the United States displays some classic ENTP traits. It might not come across to the general public, but Obama is known for being uncompromising in private arguments. He has always been unwilling to back down when demands for consistency have not been met, which is one of the things that makes him a good leader. ENTP personalities have a natural charisma that gives them a way with words, and no one can deny that the president makes a great speech.
2. Ashton Kutcher
Kutcher is known for his many challenging Hollywood roles, but many of his fans probably don’t realize that he’s also an ENTP. His blunt sense of humor was demonstrated when he hosted MTV’s prank show “Punk’d,” and he shows plenty of charisma while performing. ENTPs are often both entertaining and serious, which made Kutcher a perfect match for some of his darker roles, including playing Steve Jobs.
3. Leonardo DaVinci
Many people believe that the famous inventor and artist was an ENTP. He demonstrated a number of intensely analytical personality traits and was known for being curious about the way the universe worked. His passion for discovery led him to invent a number of new machines and create amazing artwork over the years he was alive.
4. Steve Wozniak
Wozniak famously founded Apple Computers alongside Steve Jobs. For an ENTP personality, nothing is quite as enjoyable as analyzing and solving a problem. ENTPs are great at looking at challenges from multiple angles to discover the best solution. These traits likely assisted Wozniak on his path to success.
5. Amy Poehler
Fans believe that Amy Poehler might be an ENTP after reading her book, which provided some insight into the depths of her mind. Poehler is outrageously funny and unafraid of offending people, which fits with the ENTP personality profile. This type of person is a quick thinker with a witty and flexible mindset. This is great for a performer who does improvisational comedy. Since they aren’t typically very traditional, the ENTP can also present old ideas in a new and interesting way. This is another excellent quality to have as an actor.
The ENTP has many excellent traits, but they can also come across argumentative, insensitive or even mean in some situations. If you’re an ENTP, be careful to pay close attention to how your words and actions affect others. Making an extra effort to be sensitive will benefit you in a number of situations.
