Learn How To Root Galaxy Camera – Guide | AndroidEgis

The Samsung Galaxy Camera runs Android mobile operating system that can now easily be rooted with Cf-root tool, rooting removes the restriction of Samsung and gives you full control over your Android device, it enables you to customize the every aspect of your Galaxy Camera, thanks to recognized XDA developer member AdamOutler who brought root tool for Galaxy Camera to us.

Read on how to root Samsung Galaxy Camera but first it’s important to note that rooting will also void the warranty of your Galaxy Camera, however it can be recovered by unrooting the camera which is possible with the installation of an official firmware.

Make sure you’re using Windows PC with USB device drivers installed, you can download Samsung KIES to install them and also ensure that the battery of your Galaxy Camera is charged, it’s for safety.

Step #1: Download the

(CF-Auto-Root-Tool, File name: CF-Auto-Root-gd1-ekgc100.zip) to your PC.

Step #2: Download the  to your PC.

Step #3: Unzip both downloaded .zip files into a folder.

Step #4: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped above file and run Odin3 v3.04.exe.

Step #5: Turn the device off.

Step #6: Reboot the device into download mode, to do so reboot the camera by holding down volume down, camera and power buttons, if you get a warning message, press the volume up button to enter in download mode.

Step #7: Once you’re in download mode plug the device to PC using USB cable. Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will turn yellow and a message saying ADDED will appear. (Note: If Odin doesn’t detect the device, make sure that USB drivers are properly installed on your computer).

Step #8: Click on PDA Button and locate CF-Auto-Root-gd1-ekgc100.tar.md5 from the folder where you’ve unzipped above files in the step 3. (Note: Don’t make any change, just make sure that re-partition is unchecked).

Step #9: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS (Note: If Odin refuse to install the update and show message FAIL, or get stuck, close the Odin and unplug device, then pull out battery from the device for a few seconds. Then put the battery back to the device and reboot into download mode. Then install the firmware again.

Step #8: Unplug your Galaxy Camera from the PC.
