Actually, never mind. I found a much simpler rooting guide which worked, at least for the ZE500KL. You just have to use fastboot to install a new boot image. Maybe that’s what you mean by unlocking the bootloader which can cause trouble, but there was no app involved that may force close and I encountered no problems.

My twrp has became permanent though im not sure
if my bootloader is unlocked or not
The only problem i face is while rebooting it takes nearly 6-8 to start because it always optimizes 1 app its irritating but my root resources works well no difficulties at all
I will check for unlocking bootloader but i wonder can u help with this 1 app optimizer
